During the visit, Ambassador Rae reaffirmed Canada’s additional $60 million contribution to support the GSF including a Regional Maritime Security Initiative to strengthen regional capacity against transnational organized crime in Haiti and the wider Caribbean.

Ambassador Rae also toured the GSF’s Medevac operations unit led by El Salvador, where he inspected two newly delivered helicopters— a major boost to the Force’s air mobility and operational capacity. Canada remains committed to supporting a secure and stable Haiti.
