The HSE has issued an apology to the family of a 91-year-old man who died with choking complications after a hospital took a week to act on an X-ray which revealed that he had swallowed dentures.

Yesterday was such a proud day for our family. To see Eves name on the national VTE guidelines was very emotional for us. Eve is the only person in the country at the moment with a protocol in their name. We paid the ultimate price. Thank you Eve x

The Eve guideline will finally launch on the 22nd of July. This clinical guideline will protect thrombosis patients all over Ireland. To say we are proud of all that's been achieved in Eves name is an understatement. Eves legacy will live on
