Well, that's a wrap on #ECSWR2024 What an incredibly experience it has been. So much learning, sharing, thinking, and making connections over mutual interests. Day two included interest in our Buddying scheme from many more European countries, and Oman, USA and Australia!

Today we welcomed some of our applicants onto campus and used @lemnsissay's fantastic 'My Name is Why' to help them reflect on why they wanted to become social workers. Great group, brilliant session. We can't wait to welcome them all back in September. @SunderlandUniSW

It's been wonderful to have our hard work and dedication to our students recognised this week. I couldn't be prouder to be part of such an incredible team 👏 What a way to end the semester!

My thesis on the experiences of social workers involved in pre-birth assessment work is now available online. There is a real sense of vulnerability in sharing it in it's raw form. Alas, what's the point of research if noone reads it!

Half way through the first residential of the #uodprofdoc. Lots of new things to think about, and new perspectives to take. In 4 years time, hopefully we can have a picture like this, but in our graduation robes!
