Is anyone really surprised? No class, no credibility, no point.
Interesting insight. Kipyegon actually ran 4:06.9 for the mile. Nike ācorrectedā the time to 4:06.4 by essentially eliminating the reaction to the gun and getting moving. This is marketing BS. No one in track does this. Imagine if she was close to sub4 and they pulled.

She failed by nearly 6 1/2 seconds. As Sean points out it slightly betters her world record, but the wilful pollution of sporting endeavour through crass marketing by @Nike leaves the sour taste of a superficial stunt. The athlete deserves better.
My view for the evening, just over 10 mins before Faith Kioyegon tries to become the first woman to run a sub-4 minute mile

Calling all old gits. I'm writing a social history of 1966 for a book due to be published next year, and would love to hear your childhood memories of watching the World Cup. If you've got tales to tell I'd love to hear from you. Reply to this, please, and I'll follow you. Ta.

Trentās potential was obvious from the first time I saw him at Academy level; by the time he was with England U19s he was undeniable. Liverpool made him, Madrid wonāt break him. The maturity, cultural respect and emotional intelligence he showed at his unveiling was telling.
