Bicester & Woodstock is central to the Chancellor’s growth plans, yet basic public services have faced chronic underinvestment. Ahead of her Spring Statement, I’ve written to her seeking assurances that local infrastructure will be funded properly before further growth.

Dentists, Pharmacies and Social Care providers still don’t know how they will be compensated for a hike in NICs - weeks before the new financial year. It is plain wrong that Labour voted against the @LibDemLords’ amendment to remove Employer NICs on these vital health services.

Pharmacy contracts have long been pushed to the back of the queue. Without a contract, the services so many people depend on are at risk. The Chancellor must use the Spring Statement to provide certainty for Pharmacies across Bicester, Kidlington, Woodstock and our villages.

.@cammaynard was right to challenge the cosy £3bn arrangement between Thames Water, OFWAT and the Govt. Govt should step in so bill-payers' cash is spent to improve services and stop sewage pollution, not to service excessive debt from mismanagement.

In our area - and across the country - family members step up to care for children in need, yet current legislation fails to grant them the same rights as foster parents. Lib Dems have been right to press the Government to extend employment rights to kinship carers.

I asked David Lammy last month why the £2.5b from the sale of Chelsea FC has still not been released to help Ukraine. He said “We are redoubling our efforts to unlock that money”. That is now in doubt. I will be pressing him to do more.

Congratulations to the amazing artists from St Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Kidlington. I was delighted to see their work on display in Parliament yesterday as part of a powerful exhibition called ‘Get Creative for Climate Justice'.

It was great to officially reopen Cooper Schools’s Sixth Form block after devastating flooding forced its closure. Students, who've been in temporary classrooms since June, were delighted. A huge well done to staff for getting students through this difficult period so quickly!

The UK should insist that the Israeli Govt reopens routes for humanitarian aid to reach the population in Gaza who are trying to live amid the destruction. Withholding essential food, shelter and medicine contravenes international humanitarian law.
