The company will be showing an HMG integration at #DSEI2025 which is new for the system, and comes on the back of recent field trials with the UK and US. They have engaged drones out to 400 m in those tests, presumably with the .50 cal.

Counter-drone capabilities need to be present in all echelons. It's not enough to rely on a few centralised systems of any kind. That's why things like the SMASH 3000 from @smart_shooter_ are interesting. They enable an individual soldier to increase accuracy against drones.

Back in 2023, I read a report that had been captured from a Russian position. A commander was complaining that his forward observers were refusing to go forward and do their job. They were too scared and knew that it was a mission likely to fail.

The XQ-67A was built from a genus platform, which is a concept developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and GA-ASI to create a genus platform: “The foundational core architecture from which several “species” of aircraft can be built.”
