If you fly this airplane too fast, it goes unstable. The motion sim obliges. Very fun.

Designing and building industrial panels is still painfully manual and slow. I'm going to fix that. Think EasyEDA + JLCPCB, but for electrical assemblies. Here’s an early prototype 👇

I couldn't find anything with instant quote for simple cables so I whipped this up last night. The base flow is there, but I could use some input on what connectors and cable options are worth adding. TBD if I will actually launch it, but I'm having fun building the platform

This thing is legit. @BigscreenVR . Setting up the motion simulator to use this. I'll let you know how it goes. :-D

Tons of truth here. Simple fact is that manufacturing is often completely exposed to arbitrage. If you design something that can be reproduced easily, then it'll be challenged (if it's successful enough to be interesting). The only way to avoid this kind of arbitrage is. A).

3 years EBITDA is not enough. Because bankers know that if you have a hard good product ‘hit’ and great market penetration results then you will be targeted, your products will be quickly purchased and the US buyers will send your products to China. In China the sub-contract.

I know the raw steel look is neat, but this'll look pretty great.

There's about 1 million square feet of empty industrial space within a square mile of OSH Cut. Just saying.

If America is to have a Shenzhen-like hub for hardware it will be built on local connections & friendships. - Visits to local suppliers.- Showing MVPs to others in hardware.- Trading tips on PCB work, sheet metal, or wire harnesses. If any of that speaks to you like this post.

Imagine running cash flow so close to the edge that if a customer pays late, you can't pay your vendors. I guess that's common. Blows my mind.

"Flew" in the motion simulator for the first time just now. Unexpected problem: motion moves the joystick, which moves the airplane, which moves the simulator, which moves the joystick. Causes high frequency oscillation. I'm actually pleased the sim responds fast enough. But.

Flying an Edge 330 over my hometown. Pushing the motion limits, trying to crash it, expose potential software edge cases, etc. So far so good! Next step: mount the computer and joystick inside, enable yaw, and fly with a human onboard. :-D

1. Yaw is disabled, since I'm tethered outside the machine for testing. 2. I'm getting Telemetry using SimTools, and connecting it to the motion rig using UDP packets. 3. It's not simulating heave, surge, and sway yet. Just matching the airplane's pitch, roll, and yaw.

I wonder if anyone has done a declining magic vs technology story where magic isn't obviously superior to technology. Something where the last mages of the age can only prove their worth in very niche applications as industrial technology is faster and easier for most purposes.

Autonomous excavator building a wall! 🪨. This will blow your mind! 🤯. Researchers from ETH Zürich have used an autonomous excavator to build a 65-meter-long, six-meter-high dry-stone wall. The autonomous system, called "Heap," precisely scanned and placed stones, forming a
