I'm reading much less fantasy lately and a lot more short books. At least I'm reading at all. Trying to work my attention span back up to being able to get through those books that are thick as a brick. Also trying to read books that have a lesson or something worth remembering.

Unpopular Opinion: Some of the best books only get 3-4 stars on Goodreads because they aren't what the commercial market wants at the time.

Writing scripts for videos a little bit at a time as I find myself with something to say is so much easier than trying to pump out several pages of well fleshed out writing in 1 session. This is supposed to be fun.

I'm 2.25 pages of solid paragraphs into an essay about why I didn't like Susan Rodriguez the 1st time I read the #dresdenfiles & what changed my mind after a re-read. I also wrote a 3 pg script of what I'm not doing with my new #booktube channel since I'm separating my content.

(5/?) and then the people who watch my channel for Dresden stuff won't leave when I don't post Dresden content.

(4/?) get ahead and not be stuck in poverty like my parents were. It's almost like I don't know how to relax and have fun. I think that having a separate channel that I'm only on to upload or answer comments on will help me with that separation.

(3/?) especially when one type of content is related to something you do for fun. I've always struggled with needing to be the best at everything while still being too exhausted to put in the effort needed to do that, bc at one point in my life I had to beat everyone else to.

(2/?) I've been struggling to read a lot lately because I don't want to waste my time on a book that isn't going to perform well for the algorithm, and even though I'm an adult who doesn't need youtube to be a job, it still feels bad when 1 type of content does badly,.

Announcement: I'm in the process of 'privating' all my non-Dresden content and moving it to another channel. I think I was trying to appeal to two different audiances at the same time and that each type of content will be successful on separate channels. More to come. (1/?).

My relationship with books is really toxic right now. I really wish I could walk up to my bookshelves and pick something to read without worrying about taking notes or if my audience will watch a video on what I picked.

If you aren’t registered to vote, look up your state’s voter registration site (look for the .gov end of the url) and follow the instructions on your state’s site.

Friends in USA battle ground states need to read this. Twitter (stop trying to make X happen) is trying to get your info to support Trump under the guise of registering you to vote.

If you buy something that you were running out of, feel is necessary, but it wasn’t on your shopping list, is it an impulse buy? If so, is it still an irresponsible purchase?.
