Speaking of the Harmony of Gundam's designs, the modularity of the 0081 Senki's arsenal made units like the GM Striker and the Zaku I Sniper feel right at home. (QRT-ed since i couldn't reply directly)

I feel like putting the Gundam 7th and the G Line series into 0081 Senki was a smart choice, given that other M-MSV designs like the Aqua GM, Mudrock, G05 and G04 were modernized quite tastefully in Zeonic Front, Encounters in space and the Harmony of Gundam project.
Totally, and the "good animation" was done by Bones, no less. The game also tied into some really cool MSV designs, like the 7th Gundam, which was a great idea. It also allowed you to give commands to your wingmen, which is always cool. https://t.co/K1Ssyy37aD

Yes! Rise from the Ashes was a lovely little game, and followed the same functional cockpit theme as the Blue Destiny trilogy on the Saturn. Fun fact: The same team also made Gundam Senki 0081. https://t.co/dVRdBF1IA3
@Cacophanus I yearn for another Dreamcast Gundam 0079 Side Story like game in cockpit view.

ドラクエⅠクリアしました。素晴らしいリメイク。昔は勇者というより、主人公とかロトの子孫というイメージだったのですが、単騎で敵軍を屠る最強格の勇者ですね。 #DQ1and2 #ドラクエ #イラスト

It's not really a theory, more a legal and historical reality, as Dougram acts as the functional and narrative base for BattleTech / MechWarrior. https://t.co/BvK4D8110v

@Cacophanus I watched this video yesterday. With a healthy pinch of salt on my lips. I agree with the comment, I want to enjoy a first person mech sim. Doesn't have to be set in UC, but it needs good mech sim mechanics. Lately, I'm coming over to your theory of Dougram inspiring western

I got it for Christmas at launch and played through both the EFF and Zeon campaigns on every difficulty. I was so starved for Gundam content that I didn't care. It did introduce me to the GM Striker though, I guess.
This video is nonsense. Gundam: Target in Sight / Crossfire was a genuinely awful game. However, this comment on the video is entirely spot on and ties very much into the Western history of mecha originating from Fang of the Sun Dougram https://t.co/lSrZ6XKPji

@Cacophanus IMHO Bandai Namco did rectify that in the next game, Gundam Senki 0081 Had generally good gameplay, progression and amazing story And good 2D animation also

Yes, it was almost unplayable. I remember maxing out the game and unlocking everything to see if it ever improved. It didn't. Easily one of the worst Gundam games ever made.
@Cacophanus It controlled like garbage, didn't it? Like laggy controls with input delay & bad framerate.

I actually covered this back when Target in Sight / Crossfire was released on the PS3. There were plenty of good Gundam games back then, but this was not one of them. https://t.co/Rr04Idw0nv

Compared to when the Switch launched against the 3DS, they are. It's also a position a lot of people in the industry here share, as the Switch is still the main platform for games.
