(Spoiler Warning) Another interpretation: TS is a parallel universe to CSHM, in which Alphamon had some kind of connection with protagonist/player during CSHM era, yet it's not enough to make it fully trust humans. (well, I'm still inclined to believe the interpretation above.)

(Spoiler Warning) I'm not entirely sure yet, but my personal interpretation of Alphamon's side quest is: Alphamon in TS might be the one from CSHM. Several centuries after CSHM, its personality and perspective have changed, yet it still hasn't lost its warm memories in CSHM.

(Spoiler Warning) This scene during final boss battle was so ridiculous. My Alphamon evolved from Raptordramon and Grademon, why did it show me Dorugamon and Dorugreymon? I'm not moved at all.🙃

After playing dsts I finally realized. For the canon portrayal, I love Grademon much more than Alphamon. (in my personal understanding, alphamon should have completely inherited canon grademon's fighting skill and style, but it's hardly reflected in canon alphamon🙃
