Grumblebum used to do a full body reading of Oliphaunt, with actions and must gusto. I still feel sorry for anyone who didn't get to see it. Incredicute.
On this day in 1962: The Adventures of Tom Bombadil was first published. This poetry collection by J.R.R. Tolkien includes 16 poems which are presented as inventions by hobbits. They include: The Man-in-the-Moon Stayed Up Too Late, The Mewlips, Oliphaunt, and The Last Ship.

Thoroughly enjoyed Pinocchio at @WatermillTh with the amazing @fred_double (second time seeing him there, previously enjoyed his Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing). Great venue. Great shows. Great cast.

Grumblebum just did such an impressive raspberry that I've encouraged him to add it as an achievement on his LinkedIn profile.

@UniversitiesUK This isn't a criticism of the author, I'm grateful to them for highlighting these points and sharing their lived experiences and we need more of this all year round, but I would like @UniversitiesUK to give some (equal) thought to those of us working for it as employees.

@UniversitiesUK Universities are deeply hierarchical, with embedded traditions and ways of working, and extremely slow to change. All of which can make you working/existing in one as an LGBTQIA+ person challenging at times, downright exhausting at others.

@UniversitiesUK ...many of whom are still dealing with the trauma of the AIDS crisis, section 28, grappling with being senior LGBTQIA+ people with precious few role models for how one does this due to the missing generation, rise in anti-LGBTQIA+ discourse (especially anti-T!), crime, etc

@UniversitiesUK We should absolutely highlight the role that universities play in providing an important environment for young LGBTQIA+ people to explore their identity and develop into their authentic selves, but it would be nice if as much thought was also given to non-fee paying queers
