"Insurance is a must for all", a sugar cane farmer community leader told me. He is right. @undp @uncdf & local partners offer parametric insurance that provides quick payouts when disasters strike. The scheme now exists in 7 Pacific countries with nearly 50,000 farmers enrolled.

Rewarding to hear from Kiribati delegation how strong & close relationship with #UNDP has grown. Together, we will deliver for the people of 🇰🇮 and expand the portfolio in energy, climate adaptation, governance, leveraging on experience gained in 🇰🇮 & other Pacific countries.
