Back home after an incredibly inspiring @CYPTreescapes retreat in Aberdeen(shire). Many thanks to everyone involved in the organising & facilitating of such a brilliant few days. Now: time to reflect & to write.

‘A storied landscape’ (Jeff Oliver): we spent the day learning about Bennachie - ‘Aberdeenshire’s most recognized landform’ - & the opportunities of co-production as part of our @CYPTreescapes project https://t.co/GF6GP4QLql

Fantastic @CYPTreescapes @UK_Treescapes morning learning about the ecological, environmental and social histories of one of our case study sites at Bennachie - including a (windy) talk with views of both the North Sea and Cairngorms

From Walt Whitman’s ‘The Lesson of a Tree’ to theories of change, from reflections on co-production to the possibility of hope: thanks so much to all of the speakers at yesterday’s @CYPTreescapes meeting @aberdeenuni - we learnt so much.

3 out of 4 of our family are participating in @CYPTreescapes so it’s wonderful that we are all here at the project retreat in Aberdeen. A privilege to be part of a team of inclusive, supportive #youth & #childhood scholars & artists. And to practice family #CoProduction!?

Mountains! Actual mountains (in the distance, admittedly). Enjoying the journey to Aberdeen for our @CYPTreescapes @UK_Treescapes project retreat this week. The journey is providing great views and much-needed time to write. And this week much-needed time to focus on research!

I'm so happy to begin work with youth researchers on this exciting project, exploring (non)belonging with/in treescapes for young people who migrated as separated asylum seekers. It was a privilege to walk & talk about our knowledge, memories & senses of transnational treescapes.
A wonderful, wandering start to our #FeelingOurWay encounters with migrant-background young people. The rain didn’t stop us! In fact, it led to some beautiful photos on our photography walks around Alexandra Gardens. @CaitlinFNunn @KhawlaBadwan @jennyrow @jkrowan @UK_Treescapes
