This month’s Commander Highlights featured planning for the Best of the West Army All-Star Game, holiday meal prep for active-duty and veteran families, and the 144th gearing up for Silent Sleigh — so much is coming up, we can't wait to share more.

Earlier this week, the Central Valley Local Chapter Board welcomed staff and board members from special districts across Fresno, Kings, and Tulare Counties for an End-of-Year Celebration at the Community Heritage Center. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

The 2026 pocket calendars are in and available for free pickup in the District’s main office. We’re grateful to share these with our community each year, so please stop by and get yours while supplies last.

On Tuesday, our community came together under the theme “United We Stand” to honor those who served and celebrate the unity that defines us. From breakfast to the car show, exhibit unveiling, and dinner, the day was filled with reflection, gratitude, and connection. 🇺🇸

Tonight, we celebrated our local students at the Veterans Day Student Contest Awards Dinner. Their artwork, essays, and videos brought this year’s theme, “United We Stand,” to life — a powerful tribute to the lessons and legacy of our veterans.

🇺🇸 Join us today for Veterans Day! Festivities begin at 9 AM, but don't miss the VFW Pancake Breakfast at 7 AM, followed by live music, a car show, a patriotic concert, and more family fun. Our offices are closed today, but all facilities are open for the community to enjoy.
