Lunar New Year 2024 began on February 10th, and this is the year of the Dragon. Happy Lunar New Year, especially our dragon friends!

Art, like most things, originated in Africa. If you have pictures hanging on your walls, listen to music, read books, or watch movies you are a consumer of art. This is why we are excited to celebrate the theme for 2024’s Black History Month: African Americans and the Arts.

CVCA is grateful to John Kennedy Subaru for donating 120 pairs of shoes and socks through Operation Warm. Shoes were distributed to our Truancy and Women’s Voice Health Choices right away. More programs will receive shoes in the coming weeks.

Last week, CVCA staff members participated in a HUD Point in Time (PIT) Count. Data from the PIT Count informs local and federal policy, allocates resources, and assists in determining how to end homelessness.
