The CUNY School of Medicine proudly celebrates our Physician Assistant students, faculty and staff this week. Established in 1968, and recognized as one of the longest running PA programs in the nation, we recognize and appreciate PAs for their vital role in patient care.

Last Thursday we celebrated the BS Class of 2025. As the first official graduating class of the 26th school within CUNY under our President and Dean, Carmen Renée Green, these student doctors received their white coats and have sworn their oaths as the MD Class of 2029.

There was an enormous sense of pride amongst our community, as the CUNY School of Medicine MD Class of 2027 received their clinical white coats last evening. The Clinical White Coat ceremony provides a moment of reflection as the class transitions into clinical practice.

The Sisters of Sophie hosted their annual Black Women in Medicine Panel last night. Six panelists, four of whom were alumni, shared with our students what led them to become physicians, and emphasized the importance of community. We thank them for making this a memorable event.
