Across the state RTC’s are pushing extreme MAGA candidates aside for traditional “CT Republicans” which only come in two flavors, Moderate and Conservative.

Update - On July 16, 2025, Brookfield Republicans held a caucus at Brookfield High School, where they nominated Karl Hinger as their candidate for first selectman. Hinger received 131 votes, defeating Austin Monteiro, who received 66 votes. Despite a scorching defeat, looking at.
Tonight is the Brookfield Republican Caucus. Normally in other times it might just go unnoticed by most. But the battle for the heart and soul of CTGOP is playing out in this local contest. It should serve as a good bellwether for whether MAGA can best CTGOP RTC establishment.
