I’m confident the only reason the Big Ten was proposing ridiculous playoff formats was to get the SEC to go to nine conference games. Expecting this to be the beginning of the bridge to a reasonable medium.
The Big Ten got its wish. The SEC relented and went to 9 conference games. Now the Big Ten needs to relent on ridiculous Playoff formats.
