The club are mourning today the loss of Patron Sean Sweeney. Coolera/Strandhill and Sligo GAA were Sean's passions. His name was known all around the country from Markievicz Park to Croke Park. Seanie will be missed by all. May he rest in Peace.

Its with great sadness we have learned of the passing of club President Peter Cooney. Peter was Mr. Coolera for over 40 years. His field was the pitch, his shed was the dressing rooms. Lining pitches or collecting players Peter was there. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
