The Summit Country Day Silver Knights fought hard but fall just short in the state semifinals against three-time defending champion Lake Catholic. An impressive season for the Silver Knights, who reached the state tournament for the first time in school history.

Lake Catholic 17, Summit 15 s2 I jinxed it - Cougars took a five point lead. Two big Northern hits have SCD back to within 2 points.

Lake Catholic takes set one, 25-14. The Silver Knights were playing with more fire at the end of the set, but it wasn’t quite enough to overcome a big deficit. Lake Cath’s defense has been clean.

We haven’t even started yet, and Lake Catholic students are already chanting “overrated” at SCD’s Kendall Northern, who is the number one recruit in the state and a Penn State commit. Bold strategy.
