One of the things I loved most about serving in the military is that you learn to believe in a mission which is much bigger than yourself. This concept is demonstrated by the women and men who made the ultimate sacrifice for their fellow Soldiers and for their country.

Try not to look at the end of military life as the end of your life; but rather look at it as your new opportunity to serve in a different way. With this, you have a new type of camaraderie amongst your fellow citizens and Military Veterans. #ServantLeadership π―βπ½π¨π½ββοΈ

This is my new normal and has become my new mission after the military. Truthfully it helps me as much as it does the community. I would offer this to others who are transitioning - become a servant leader and find your new normal helping others within your community.

Iβm deeply grateful for the opportunity to return to my place of birth and serve the people in the village which helped to raise me. This caring and servitude behavior I learned from my mother primarily and it is what I call servant leadership.

After retiring from the military, I struggled with my transition until I decided to start serving my hometown community as passionately as I had served my nation. I began creating events and programs for the youth, the homeless, the senior residents, and military veterans.
