I can see a way forward where ring fencing hotspots corral viral outbreaks while governments enact Keynesian plans to rebuild the fire damaged communities, build future research and productive capabilities.

The arguments seem to be coalescing around a society view or an economic view. We either protect society or the economy. I can’t see either surviving as it was and both need to change.
