Great work by @TVP_RuralCrime Taskforce 👮♂️ Using the CRiS database, they uncovered that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) had been cloned. Keeping CRiS records accurate and up to date is vital in helping police identify stolen caravans and reunite owners with their.
Officers from the Taskforce have located a caravan that was stolen from Warwickshire in 2024 👮♂️. Using the @CRiSDatabase they identified that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) had been cloned. The caravan has been recovered and will be returned to its rightful owner ✅

👏 Thanks to @TVP_RuralCrime & PCs Bowers & Smith who spotted a Swift Quattro in Banbury, uncovered altered serials & confirmed via CRiS it was stolen from Hampshire in 2019. Keeping CRiS records up to date helps police ID stolen caravans fast & return them to owners.
PCs Bowers & Smith found a Swift Quattro caravan with altered serial numbers in Banbury. They identified it as stolen from Hampshire in 2019 using CRIS. The caravan was seized & will be returned to its owners. This highlights the importance of keeping CRIS records up to date

Following excellent training given by @CRiSDatabase yesterday to the whole team, we attended #Whitstable this morning to check a number of caravans. 1 of the caravans was confirmed stolen from Barnsley, 2 people were arrested for theft offences and the caravan was recovered. RH
