Housing isn’t just about walls & a roof - it’s the foundation of strong, thriving communities. When people have safe, attianable, & sustainable homes, everything else becomes more possible: healthier lives, stronger students & workforces, & lasting connections and relationships.

Starting with the class of 2028, Colorado high school students will be required to take a financial literacy course before graduation. CRHDC knows that financial knowledge is power - especially when it’s time to turn opportunity into building stability & building lasting assets.

“My time here has been the most enjoyable, and the property manager has been an invaluable resource. I especially love watching the wildlife from my front porch—fox, deer, and elk.” — Judith B., 2025 Lakota Ridge Senior Apartments resident, New Castle, CO

Did you know the 50 new trees along 10th Street in Alamosa are growing on land owned by CRHDC? Recently, we partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley to transform a once-vacant lot into a shaded, welcoming path for youth walking from school to the club.
