What an amazing First Day of school for our @CRESCubs students and teachers — from morning drop off until afternoon dismissals — with lots of smiles 😀😃🙂 and enthusiasm! A first grader shared through his mask . “School is still FUN!”

What a difference ten short months can make!.
Pandemic @CRESCubs summer school social-distancing storytime where @MsMariahLiskey reads a story to seven children — none of whom are sitting on the carpet . & last year’s beginning of school kindergarten circle time with 18 students — all of whom are sitting on the carpet! 🤔

FLASHBACK!! A year ago this week our @CRESCubs and district students had fun sitting together to enjoy @DanaRoderick3 read a story at our Summer Reading Party! One of the many cool school events we do not get to enjoy this year. ☹️ Social Distancing was not even known to us then!

So much #CubRunFun on today’s Cubs On The Run visit to our students’ neighborhoods! We miss our Cubs! 🐻
After nearly two weeks of missing our @CRESCubs teachers & staff, it was a truly inspiring and emotional reunion with our Cubs as 40 cars that make up our Cubs On The Run caravan visited the many neighborhoods that make us Cub Run Strong! 🐻

This empty @CRESCubs classroom is one of dozens in our school . and many thousands in Virginia . that will now remain closed for the rest of this school year. HEARTBREAKING 😢
