Fantastic to see another example of innovative ticketing offers from bus operators, making it easier and cheaper for people to choose the bus. These initiatives play a vital role in helping more passengers travel affordably and sustainably.

Bus operator costs up 4% in a year, driven by labour (+6.6%) & engineering (+8.6%) inflation. Fuel (-0.4%) & insurance (-3.1%) fell but couldn’t offset rises. CPT warns funding must reflect the real cost to protect routes & jobs.

Today marks 20 years since the 7/7 attacks on London’s transport network. This morning, CPT’s Gavin Miller laid a wreath in Tavistock Square, where 13 people died in the final attack. We remember the 52 lives lost and honour the courage shown that day.
