Tomorrow is Earth Day! On April 22, 1970, Cal Poly Pomona students joined others across the nation in commemorating the first Earth Day. A Poly Post article reported that the event featured appearances by State Assemblyman Jesse Unruh and folk singer John Stewart.

It's National Poetry Month! This 1990 publication from the Cal Poly Pomona Vietnamese Student Association featured poems, stories, and other writings in Vietnamese. The publication's title translates as "Autumn."

Jill Stark joined the LA County Fair Association in 1979 and served on the Board from 2002 - 2010. She served as chair of the Fairplex Education Foundation and is currently a member of The Learning Center board. Jill has also been a college lecturer and a dean's assistant.
