Tomorrow is Earth Day! On April 22, 1970, Cal Poly Pomona students joined others across the nation in commemorating the first Earth Day. A Poly Post article reported that the event featured appearances by State Assemblyman Jesse Unruh and folk singer John Stewart.

Jill Stark joined the LA County Fair Association in 1979 and served on the Board from 2002 - 2010. She served as chair of the Fairplex Education Foundation and is currently a member of The Learning Center board. Jill has also been a college lecturer and a dean's assistant.

We’re celebrating Women’s History Month with women who helped make Fairplex & LA County Fair a success. Judy Siodmak joined as Marketing Manager in 1981, later becoming VP of Marketing in 1984. She received the Merrill Award in 1985 and became the Certified Fair Executive in 1989
