People don't say / realize it enough, but the original Resident Evil, like the inspiration "Alone in the Dark" REALLY were like 3D point & clicks. The inventory management. The puzzles to solve to progress. The characters to talk to, and with (so awful you love it) voice acting.

One exception, RE Remake was really good. Maybe the best remake ever made. BUT Even here, I like the more colorful scenery of the original compared to the "realistic grey-ish" of the remake. You could easily tell each room apart from each other in the original, color coded.

Also means we'll never, ever get them to make new RE games in the classic style... ...I'll never play any other RE games until they do. I really don't care for all those action games. I liked the "adventure games with puzzles and horror mixed" formula better.

Capcom thinks the remakes are "superior to the originals, who needs those?" It's as dumb as if Nintendo stopped making or re-releasing 2D Marios because "3D ones are superior" 😑 To me they're not even the SAME games, totally different style and gameplay.
An outlet recently did an interview with GOG execs and the below quote is pretty funny considering the whole "Remakes don't replace the original, you can always just play that instead" argument

Hopefully the consoles versions which are standalone will get more interest from outside the BROK community, I'd like it to be another entry point into the series

It means a chunk of BROK players were really impatient for it, but mainstream players are not interested / not paying attention at all

The Brawl Bar's conversion rate is very good, even for a DLC! Just a shame there are few wishlists overall
