Awesome performance from Capt George Steele of 1LANCS who represented GB in the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships yesterday. In his ever first race over that distance he came in 16th in his category!

Huge performance at the death saw 1LANCS beat the Mercians in the Coleridge Cup for the sixth year. Special mention goes to Cpl Tunisau who scored twice in the last 10 mins! Team are looking forward to getting back from Cyprus and dominating Infantry Rugby League once again!

A huge well done to the soldiers of Somme Coy who deployed on Op THETIS 13 this week and removed ~10km of illegal irrigation and netting used to trap migratiory song birds. There has been a 70% reduction in the number of birds caught this year thanks to these efforts.

Great visit to Anzio Coy’s field firing today. Rifle, UGL, 60mm Mortar, GPMG and Grenades combined with fit, strong infantrymen from the NW makes a deadly combination!

Great day on the ranges yesterday with the soldiers of Anzio and Somme Company. Both Coys displayed some quality marksmanship and were making the most of the ranges in Cyprus.

Today 1LANCS hosted Brig Deakin - Comd 51X and former CO 1LANCS. After awarding LS&GC’s to deserving soldiers and meeting their families he gave an honest appreciation of life in an AF Bde. Everyone really appreciated the visit and enjoyed re-connecting with a former CO!

The soldiers of 1LANCS really appreciated a visit from the Army Sergeant Major today. It was a great opportunity to listen to the senior soldier in the British Army and have their opinions heard at the highest level.

Thank you to the Staff of JFHQ on Exercise in Cyprus that 1LANCS Officers and Warrant Officers visited today. Informative and educational the visit highlighted the capabilities of the HQ and gave the 1LANCS staff a better understanding of crisis planning and how defence works.
