Congratulations to Coach Josh on his new position as head coach at Northeast Texas. He was a valuable addition to our program the past several seasons as our first full-time assistant coach. During that time he helped elevate our program in many ways. Best of luck and thank you!

in the nation! It is an honor to be recognized by the NFCA top 25 committee at any spot. We will embrace it as the honor it deserves and continue to play the very best softball possible with every opportunity. Fun times ahead!
We had a tremendous opportunity to visit the Governor’s Mansion with many special moments. A big thank you to Governor Youngkin for having us and sharing your time celebrating our National Championship! President Trible Day July 31st!
Fun fact about what this team accomplished this season-
Out of over 1500 college softball teams in the nation we accomplished the highest winning percentage (.979).
Our thoughts and prayers are with our former assistant coach, Meredith Powell. She has started her battle with cancer. In her words “This will no doubt be a fight, but one I intend to win!”
We are here for you and know you will win the fight!
Cool statistics
There are only two teams ahead of us in home runs per game at this point of the season in all of NCAA softball. Wichita St and Oklahoma. Only one team in Oklahoma is ahead of us in slugging %. There are only a few teams ahead of us in other key categories.
We are going to brag on our pitchers a little bit. Prior to the season we had 15.1 innings of experience returning. What have they done so far this season?

It was nice to walk away from Captains Park today after our first practice day since March. It has been way too long since coaches and players got to utilize this beautiful place. Finally a bit of normal for us and as normal softballs were crushed!
Four of our recent graduates made it out to Harbor Park for the Norfolk Tides game this evening to be honored for their National Championship! More to be posted tomorrow!
What a great day at Captains Park yesterday as we celebrated this years seniors! Their teammates went above and beyond to help make it a memorable one for them! Really proud of how this team has continued to come together!
It has been awhile since Captains Park has seen an official softball game. Too long! Today we get to step on that field and our thoughts will be with last years seniors as well. These games are for you all! We look to bounce back and play our hearts out like you would have!

Coach Parr and Kaitlyn Hasty received Thad Madden awards (for coach winning a National Championship and a National Player of the Year) at the Peninsula Sports Club’s Headliner’s Night. Coaches Savannah Couch and Mary Kennedy were able to attend. This honor is as much theirs!
We just got another player better with a wonderful addition to our softball family! Talent on talent with great young ladies continuing to add to the successes of CNU Softball!
The coaching staff is heading out tomorrow morning to San Antonio for the NFCA National Convention!

The Vic Zodda Training Center is coming along nicely! We can’t wait to get in here next month! It will be nice to have an indoor area both us and baseball can call home when the outdoor elements aren’t in our favor.
NEWS UPDATE! We are fortunate to add a very familiar face to the CNU coaching staff. Todd Winegrad last coached in 2016 and was with us for 11 seasons (10 NCAA selections and 2 National Championship appearances). Coach Winegrad will be a great addition to our exceptional staff!
We love how we can offer one of the best academic experiences which equals a phenomenal degree. We love that it all takes place on one of the most beautiful campuses you will ever step foot on. Softball bonuses- Captains Park, consistent national contender, championships!
A plane full (this was the back half) of people celebrating both Jules and Jessie’s birthday! Southwest turned off the lights so we could light the overhead “candles” and we all sung happy birthday for them! Then lights off to blow out the candles!

The final countdown to the new year comes from the final pitch of the championship season from Jamie Martin (Most Outstanding Pitcher) to Bailey Roberts (Most Outstanding Player). What a special 2022 for this group of talented ladies! They epitomized what it meant to be a team!
