🖼️🎨 By bringing together artworks, sculptures, and visual materials from the NUS Museum’s collections, Alif and Keat Boon’s curation opens fresh ways to think about contemporary ideas across various disciplines. [4/6]

🖌️ The inaugural exhibition is curated by #CNM undergraduate students Alif 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗹𝗶 and 𝗞𝗲𝘄 𝗞𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗻. Their projects explore how we each see the world differently, and how images can help us understand our own point of view. [3/6]

This exhibition features work from 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀: 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗩𝗖𝗨𝟯𝟭𝟬𝟭), a course for the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, taught jointly by NUS CNM and NUS Museum. Course Coordinators: Ms Siddarth Perez and Dr Baey Shi Chen. [2/6]

🌳 The performance took place at 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, a green space behind NUS Central Library. The space’s decades-long reputation as a popular dating spot added layers to the emotional arc of the piece. [5/6]

💡 Our #CNM students served as 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 for the project, collaborating with 𝗡𝗨𝗦 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 and Office of Student Affairs, Centre for the Arts to bring the performance to life. [4/6]

With support and guidance from #CNM lecturer 𝗗𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝗶 𝗥𝘂𝗼, they successfully pitched the project to be featured in 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 and 𝗡𝗨𝗦 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹. [3/6]

🎭 The narrative dance piece was first conceptualised by #CNM students 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗺, 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗺, 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗯𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻 as part of the coursework for: 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (NM3245). [2/6]

👏🏼 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙯 𝙖𝙩 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣, a site-specific theatre piece, wins 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁 in the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 category at this year’s 𝗡𝗨𝗦 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (NAA)! [1/6]
