The @SJGiants unveiled a mural honoring Cal League legend, Chris Lampe. A SJ Giants minority owner from 1988-07 & the Cal League Historian from 2009-22. He was an ambassador for the Cal League & preserved it’s history. He was a great friend & will truly be missed!

Chris Lampe was a great friend and a great advocate for keeping the history of the California League alive. He will truly be missed.
Chris Lampe, the Historian of the California League, passed this week from cardiac arrest. He was a wonderful man and put his heart and soul into the book. This year he was informed that baseball did not want the book anymore. The minors have no current record-keeping apparatus.
