My LAX-Montreal trip was actually a scenic flight of the Grand Canyon, Colorado River, Hoover Dam and Rocky Mountains 😍 ridiculous scenes out the window. I’m stoked to be headed to my 1st International Symposium on Early and Lower Vertebrates, can’t wait to meet the fishy folks!

Dr Gludhug Purnomo’s invited talk on human genetic research in Wallacea and Sahul showed how community engagement benefits both researchers and the local populations. Great to catch Gludi at the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories conference #ISBER

I got to marvel at Samorn the elephant this week, the last to live at Adelaide Zoo. She’s huge! Fumehood in the background for scale. She’s lost a bit of weight since the first time we met though 😂 thanks heaps to Anthony and the @VetAnatomyUofA crew for the visit 🐘
