The Word. I remember that time, I used to intentionally plan my arrival in church to be around the time Pastor Ugo was about to mount the pulpit. I hardly missed the timing. I was much younger and somewhat clueless but something about this man speaking just got my full attention.

The self Jesus teaches us to deny is our flesh. Loving yourself puts the focus on you, your abilities, your weaknesses. What we're to do is see ourselves as God sees us, through the lens of the cross, see how much God loves us and that's truly how we can love ourselves.
