For instance, addressing this imbalance looks like language-aware programming for effective, responsive, and accountable assistance. Or technology that truly includes the languages spoken where organizations work. 🚀

📶 One of the reasons for power imbalance in the aid and development sectors is a lack of language inclusion.

Displaced people may struggle to access help and services from humanitarian organizations if information is provided in languages they do not understand.

Since the beginning of January, intense fighting in eastern DRC has displaced more than 102,000 people, according to UNOCHA. This surge in displacement adds to an already severe and long-standing crisis, deepening instability in the region.
