News: There is a loose cow in Niles. Police: Niles PD and other law enforcement agencies are working together with a representative from Wagner Farms to secure the cow. Residents and visitors are encouraged to avoid the area until the cow is secured.

I’m in Plainfield for a vigil to honor the life of Wadea al-Fayoume, 6. Wadea, who was Palestinian and Muslim, was stabbed to death Saturday. It’s hard to say how many people are in line outside but police estimated over a thousand.

The most famous cow in the burbs hails from Winneconne, Wisc. The students bought it (and a pig) on Craigslist. It's now at Woodstock's Hooved Animal Humane Society. Mooving on from the livestock beat. Call me if they start typing or go on strike.
