You guys! My night is made!.Guy and I got to meet the one and only Konishiki at the NYC Sumo + Sushi event!!. Konishiki was the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach ōzeki, the second-highest possible rank in sumo wrestling. Amazing to me someone who I admired as a kid 🤙🏼

Today is the real reason we came to NYC. It’s the Hālāwai Organization’s Annual Potluck. It’s so nice to meet other Hawaiians, share local food, and kanikapila. We made spam musubi to share and we sampled Kalua pig, spicy raw ahi, lilikoi butter mochi, char siu manapua & more!
