Lt. Ebou Lowe, a beloved father, was imprisoned, tortured, disappeared, & killed by the Junglers. He is remembered by his family as unafraid to advocate for what's right. Lt. Lowe’s family is represented by his sister, @ZeeBaldeh. ⬇️

Pierre Mendy was a husband & father, dedicated to serving the Gambian Armed Forces. Lt. Col. Mendy was arrested & tortured by Correa & the Junglers. In Mile 2, he courageously supported other prisoners. He passed away after his release & his wife, Lizy, represents him. ⬇️

Yaya Darboe has spent three decades serving in the Gambian Armed Forces. After he supported a coup attempt against Pres. Jammeh, Lt. Col. Darboe was arrested & tortured. Despite what Lt. Col. Darboe endured, he continues to serve & is committed to building a better nation. ⬇️

Tamsir Jasseh is a husband, father & dedicated public servant. In 2006, he was tortured. After release, he left The Gambia because of lasting impacts the torture had on his life. After the end of Jammeh’s dictatorship, he returned - believing he has a duty to serve his nation. ⬇️

Ramzia Diab was a dedicated public servant & mother of 5 and tortured for her opposition to Jammeh’s regime. Yet even after surviving such horrific abuses, she remained devoted to her country & dedicated her life to serving her nation. ⬇️

Demba Dem, a devoted public servant, activist & father, was arrested and tortured by Michael Correa & other Junglers for defending journalists and the rule of law in Gambia. Now in exile, Mr. Dem dedicates his life to ensuring that the Jammeh-era crimes do not go unpunished. ⬇️
