On 11 December 2025, #CISCE hosted an interactive session between Dr. Joseph Emmanuel Chief Executive & Secretary-CISCE & Principals from the North East Region at the CISCE North-East States #PrincipalsMeet held in Guwahati, focusing on the CISCE’s vision and academic direction.

The programme reflects CISCE’s commitment to linking classroom learning with real-world systems. It equips teachers to teach about climate change and through real processes that shape sustainability, strengthening climate literacy and responsible citizenship across schools.

Teachers also visited the Amberpet STP-Hyderabad, one of Asia’s largest sewage treatment facilities. They observed water treatment, recycling systems and environmental engineering processes that support a circular economy where waste becomes a resource through recovery and reuse.

With this initiative, CISCE becomes one of the first Boards in India to embed structured climate education into the core school curriculum. This marks a bold step towards future-ready learning & strengthens schools’ capacity to build climate-aware & sustainability-driven mindsets

#CISCE completed the 1st cohort of training on the new Climate Change & Sustainability Skill Modules for Grades 6–8(AY 26–27) at its Hyderabad CoE. Educators from 10 states explored implementation plans, experiential learning models & project pathways for climate-focused learning
