Stock images used on Pathways are currently being replaced by images taken by Library staff which, in addition to the videos being created, provides a creative outlet for Library staff #CILIPNE

Pathways is currently a work in progress, and is likely to be continuously emergent, as new topics are added and information edited over the years #CILIPNE

'Pathways' was designed to be used both by students pre-arrival at university, and to be linked to by academics from their VLE #CILIPNE

The service 'Pathways' looked to de-mystify the library for both new and existing students who are uncertain as to how to use the library. It was designed to encourage questions, be quick to read, and without judgement #CILIPNE

This service looked to break down hidden barriers to using library services, and was intended to fit in with the other services on offer within the library #CILIPNE

Lisa and James started a chat service to provide support to students who were anxious about approaching the Library. They wanted it to be accessible and low-stakes #CILIPNE

Our final presentation of today’s event is ‘Pathways – a journey into the centre of libraries’, from Lisa Anderson, Library Service Manager, and James Bywater, University of Northampton #CILIPNE

Distribution of new roles was based partly on librarians indicating their preference, as well as matching up their skillsets, focus and expertise #CILIPNE
