Another temple Wyatt visited was that of Aphaia on Aegina, built 500-490 BCE on a site with cult activity from the Bronze Age. The patron goddess played a similar role to Artemis; later the temple was dedicated to Athena. #Greece #Aegina #temple #architecture #TempleofAphaia

Wyatt recently visited the island of Aegina and its archaeological museum. The temple of Apollo is known as the Kolona, due to the lone Doric column atop the cliff. Meanwhile the museum held pottery & statues found around the island. #Greece #Aegina #temple #archaeology #Kolona

Another site Wyatt has visited is Aristotle’s Lyceum. From 335 BCE this was Aristotle's school, where he would instruct students during walks. Today the site is open for the public and a lovely way to spend an afternoon. #Lyceumofaristotle #Aristotle #Athens #Greece #Archaeology
