Our 8th and 9th graders kicked off the school year with their very first celebration of the Eucharist at CHS. Father Michael Alello ‘98 delivered a beautiful homily about keeping Christ as the center of or our daily lives, friendships, and as we enter this new school year!

We loved having students back on campus these past two days. With orientation complete, we are looking forward to another great year. Eight and ninth graders start tomorrow followed by everybody back on Monday! Here's to a great school year!

Today we enjoyed bear claws for breakfast with our new families who were on campus to learn more about their responsibilities during their time at CHS. Up next, orientation for our returning students followed by the official first day of school for all our young men on Aug. 11!

Summer at CHS campers explored cuisine from around the world at our International Culinary Camp. They cooked (then ate) their creations including crêpes, ratatouille, enchiladas, chicken curry, & jollof rice. It was a delicious time learning about food from across the globe.

HAPPENING NOW: Mr. Duane LeBlanc, CHS/SJA Band Director, serves as the Advocacy Chairman for the Louisiana Music Educators Association. Today he is in Washington, D.C. to speak up for music education to our congressional leaders! Nice work, Mr. LeBlanc!

Earlier this week, we celebrated the young men of the CHS Class of 2029 and their promotion to 9th grade. Congratulations to Huckleberry Finley whose classmates voted as the recipient of the Pete Boudreaux ’59 Courtesy Award. Way to go, gentlemen! Enjoy your summer!
