Update: The closure has been turned over to PG&E, gas has been shut off. Repairs expected to take some time.
Spenceville Rd. Is closed from Elnora Drive to Indian Springs Road in both directions due to a gas leak from a non injury crash. PGE is on scene and assessing and repair crews are on the way. No eta to open but it will likely be a few hours. Indian Springs Road is currently open

Update 7:30 pm Highway 20 between Penn Valley and Grass Valley has fully reopened The CHP Grass Valley Area Office sincerely appreciates the public’s patience and kindness throughout this incident. Our hearts are with the families and loved ones affected by today’s tragic events
Update 4:15 PM: Highway 20 remains closed. CalTrans, and tow trucks are tirelessly trying to clear the highway to make it safe to open. Continue to use alternate routes.
