The California Highway Patrol Willows Area is out in full force today, combating speeding motorists during the Maximum Enforcement Period, from 6:00 AM on June 7th to 5:59 AM on June 8th! Please watch your speed and drive careful.

The California Highway Patrol is initiating a Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) from 6 a.m. Saturday, June 7th, to 5:59 a.m. Sunday, June 8th. Officers will be targeting unsafe speeding, which contributes to causing 30% of crashes. Slowing Down = Saving Lives. It’s that simple.

A big shout out to Caltrans for the completion of the State Route 162 Butte City Bridge Replacement Project. This new bridge is vital for the safe transportation of motorists and the community it serves. Thank you for allowing CHP to be part of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

***CHP Willows Area's Newest Enforcement Vehicle Has Arrived!!***. This new Specially Marked Patrol Vehicle is currently out and about, with the goal to keep all drivers safe by targeting aggressive, dangerous, and speeding drivers in Glenn County.

CHP is deploying the next generation of Specially Marked Patrol Vehicles—distinctive colors with a version of the traditional CHP markings in sharp contrast on the doors. These SMPVs support efforts to stop reckless and dangerous driving. #CaliforniaHighwayPatrol #SMPV

Witnessing the vibrant energy at this year's Special Olympiad in Glenn County was truly heartwarming! 🏅 A hearty thank you to the Pilusos, as well as the others who organized this incredible event and gave these awesome kids a chance to shine.

The Willows area is proud to announce the promotions of Sergeant Dressel to lieutenant and Officer Forslund to sergeant. They will be leaving us on Thursday as they move to new areas and take on new responsibilities. Good luck to both of you!

We had a great time Saturday at the Glenn County Health and Human Service Agency's Children's Fair! It is always an honor for the California Highway Patrol to participate in events like this.
