***UPDATE***.The far left two lanes of southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road are now open. The right two lanes will be closed for an unknown duration while crews work on clearing the lanes. If you have to travel through the area, be patient as traffic is heavy and backed up.

Southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Round is closed at this time due to a commercial vehicle fire. The commercial vehicle is fully engulfed with flames and smoke going across all lanes. Emergency crews are on scene working to extinguishing the fire.

***UPDATE***. The Laval Road west off ramp from northbound I-5 along with the northbound I-5 on ramp from Wheeler Ridge will remain closed while officers investigate this crash. Please use Wheeler Ridge north to David Road west to get to northbound I-5. Travel safe.

Intermittent closure of southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road starting at 4:30pm. This morning around 0800 hours the line crossing southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road was struck. The wire, along with 2 wooden power poles were damaged causing the need for immediate repair.
