In personal news, we have a new addition! Peyton Leigh Laseak was born on Sunday, May 2nd at 7:57 PM. 8 pounds, 11 ounces & 21 inches. We are so blessed & excited that she is finally here!

I'm not sure where it stands as far as school records, but Lilly's 8 threes are the most that I've seen as a coach the last 12 seasons. 8 of 15 for the game- 7 of 10 in the second half 🔥🔥🔥 AND in a close game, not a blowout. AND she's a freshman.

TWELVE seasons as a head coach & my assistant coaches are always assumed to be the one in charge- greeted first when we enter a gym, who the officials go to before the game. I'm not a big deal, but a little recognition after I've met you countless times would be appreciated!

Good thing we didn't schedule practice or a scrimmage for this Saturday: our cross country girls run at the state meet at 12 & our soccer girls play in the regional championship at 1! These student-athletes make up HALF of our basketball program!

The end of a season is never easy, but this one is really difficult for me. I LOVED working with this group. I looked forward to practice every single day and enjoyed watching them learn and grow. We got better as a team and as individuals this season.

Be honest with your teacher when you are struggling with an assignment instead of just copying someone else's. The emphasis on grades over learning that is ingrained in students is depressing. You aren't doing yourself any favors & your teacher will be more helpful than you think

Our student-athletes had a phenomenal weekend at the state meet, but what's most impressive is that TEN of them made Academic All Ohio: Coffey, Haskett, Hoelzel, Kittle, Opperman, Stinson, Lechman, Neimeier, O’Connor, Tropf. Well done!!

Coaching is hard. Sacrifices are made. There aren't many who stick around for a long time, especially now. There are fewer teachers who are coaching. There aren't many moms coaching. It's tough. Please keep that in mind as you watch from the stands this season.
