Ozzy Trapilo wasn't ready to start back in training camp, bowing out of the Bears' left tackle competition. He was more than ready yesterday, allowing just one pressure as part of a very impressive performance. A testament to his work and growth this rookie season.

The Bears are far from a complete product, and that's fine for now. This team deserves the benefit of the doubt.

"It's not the same old Bears." This team believes that and this city does too. There's plenty to improve but no denying the results. Chicago has a team stacking wins and on the rise.

“It takes a village.” Ben Johnson and the Bears celebrate their eighth victory.

Caleb Williams: "We're an 8-3 team in the National Football League. So, we feel good about where we're at, but we go got to get better. Yeah, we don't feel like we're the same old Bears. We pull through for each other when it matters most."

Montez Sweat: “It’s just not the same old Bears.”

The Bears win again. They beat the Steelers, 31-28. That's eight victories in the last nine games and 8-3 on the season. This team just keeps getting it done.

That was a three-and-out featuring a 3rd-and-8 delay of game penalty. The Bears are clinging to a three-point lead here late.

Kyle Monangai plunges in for his fourth touchdown of the season and the Bears have scored 17 unanswered.

Montez Sweat wrecks that play. A strip-sack and the Bears get the ball back. He has two sacks today and 7.5 on the season.

Caleb Williams’ third touchdown pass of the day is the second for DJ Moore. The Bears are back in the lead.

The Bears trail the Steelers at halftime, 21-17. Cairo Santos' 47-yarder finished the half with points. Caleb Williams is 10-of-21 for 120 yards, two touchdowns but also several near-picks and a fumble in the end zone. A lot to clean up in the second half.

A disaster all around for Caleb Williams and the Bears.

The Bears backed up the Steelers with the kickoff to the 5-yard line. It didn't matter. Pittsburgh marched 95 yards on 13 plays in 7:58. This defense is struggling and running out of players.
