Our Y8 girls enjoyed their 4th session of the #EmpowerProject with @BUSchools over at Lush Green Hub. We heard of Lush's history, their means of addressing environmental issues within their manufacturing, careers within the company & the opportunity to make our own bath bombs!!

A super day @afcbournemouth. Y8 girls @poole_high heard from the club's finance director followed by a workshop introducing pupils to types of banking, the benefits of saving, a budgeting task, tour of the stadium and then got to meet & hear from the inspirational @KenniThompson

Y8 girls @poole_high excited to be here @afcbournemouth as part of the @BUSchools #EmpowerProject. Today's session is money management as part of the employability skills, leadership, problem solving and business skills programme.

Y10 students @poole_high spent the day looking to the future starting with our @PHSixthForm message 'aim high'. They then heard from alternate FE providers, the ASK programme & local employers, ensuring they are well informed for their post16 decisions. Thank you to our guests.

Empower Session 2: Our girls toured the Gateway Building hearing of the opportunities & support to study various careers in #healthsciences. Then, teamed up with strangers, worked together to solve a robotics challenge-so proud of you! Even made time for self-quizzing over lunch!

You could hear a pin drop in this room as our Y8 girls @poole_high are totally enthralled, hearing from top surgeon Professor Tahseen Qureshi talking of the past, present & future of robotic surgery! Absolutely fascinating insight.
