Invited speakers will include Josep Call, Senay Cebioglu, @arvidguterstam, Marlene Meyer, Elisabeth Pacherie and Philippe Rochat. Our conference chairs are Louise Goupil and @dora_kampis.

In this conference, we will bring together researchers that have attempted to address this broad question from different angles to explore the topic of how we understand and distinguish our own and others’ intentions, actions, thoughts, and ultimately, self and other.

How do we learn to distinguish our bodies and minds from those of other people, and what are the mechanisms and relation between understanding ourselves and others?

Poster abstract submissions will be open between 1 January and 28 February 2024.

The conference is chaired by @A_Keresztes and @WB_Markus. Invited speakers will include @HelenCBarron, Melissa C. Duff, @Franklandlab, @m_schoenauer, @SucevicJelena.

Our goal is to uncover synergies and opposing views of approaches from different levels of analysis, from cellular through systems level neuroscience to cognitive- and neuropsychology, to facilitate cross-talk between currently independent fields to inspire novel research.

The conference will bring together researchers striving to understand what shared neural and cognitive mechanisms allow humans and non-human animals to represent and process memory, space, and language and how these mechanisms change across the lifespan.
