Worked in football for a few years. Not an expert but will share transfer news when I get it. I will never claim to be 100% accurate.

What I’m trying to do with this post is give a little insight into the club at the moment, and how things may move forward.
I’m trying to leave my personal opinions out and stick to what I believe is facts:
@henrywinter
He’s exactly what United have been crying out for Henry. Too many fans these days support players over the club and I personally find that a bit strange.
@UtdEIIis
I’d imagine financially one season in the prem sets the club up for a very long time. If they went crazy and tried to spend above their means it might not have done them any good longer term if they couldn’t survive

1) Mbappe to United was never happening.
2) Already reported that they didn't want him as some are more likely to lose their job under him.
Qatar could've been great, they could've been crap.
Negativity sells, so I hope you are getting the bag.
If they do get cleared, I reckon Ineos might become our official hand gel partner for a billion a season then.
Drag our heels, and no one will say a word.

Out of position too.
What an unbelievable talent and his ability is so often disrespected by people who didn’t see him play, or caught the final years of his career.

🚨 Man United confirm that Patrick Stewart, interim Chief Executive Officer, and Cliff Baty, Chief Financial Officer, have decided to leave at the end of the season.
❗️ Patrick will be replaced as CEO by Jean-Claude Blanc until the arrival of Omar Berrada on 13 July.
Nothing ground breaking or nothing new here, but as far as I know United feel pretty confident they’ll be able to get a deal done for Olise pretty early in the window.
I’d love us to try and get him running onto things more, and use his pace. I don’t think he’s suited to trying to be a target man, holding defenders off all the time.
There’s a lot of potential in Rasmus.
🇵🇹🚨 Joao Neves | Official offer from Manchester United expected to arrive quickly
➡️ Interest is serious here, whether Benfica can keep him for a year is the question
➡️ Antonio Silva also a target, and he'll be allowed to go

Players:
- the feeling within Ineos is that there are very few players considered untouchable. Some big earners will go (Casemiro, varane, Martial) and anyone considered unhappy will be allowed to leave if they so wish (examples could be Rashford, Antony etc).
-Ratcliffe holds similar views to us as fans that for years the contracts have been ridiculous and player power is too strong. This will change, but it could take a few windows to get rid of everyone.
- the players in the whole are still behind Ten Hag. But they are confused.
Been asked a lot about Tosin.
Small update here but doubt there’s much new here.
- we like him, will be speaking to him and likely to make an offer.
- spurs and Liverpool will be doing the same.
- he has interest in Italy as well.
Plenty of interest, and Uniteds is firm.
🚨 JUST IN:
Manchester United are in active contact with Michael Olise’s entourage. Olise is open to leaving Crystal Palace this summer.

- the scouts at the club feel ignored massively and let down (this has been the case for a long time) which has seen key appointments not last eg Ribalta.
- they feel that ten hag has overruled good suggestions in favour of players he’s worked with or targeted in the past.
May take a few seasons to really bear fruit, but change is coming.
- a planned rebuild will start and players will come and go, which is exciting with the added youth coming in.
I hope this has helped answer any questions people may have, if you have any Q’s give me a shout.
🚨 Ratcliffe is ‘angry’ about is the constant leaks emerging from the club, and also the use of social media to criticise the club.
Ratcliffe will not get personally involved, but he has already made it known that he backed Ten Hag over the Sancho situation and going forward he…
Staff:
- changes expected, Van der Gaag is expected to depart regardless of what happens with Eth and so is Benni McCarthy. Whilst popular- he is no saint and hasn’t conducted himself in the most professional ways at times this season (let’s leave it at that).
NEW
🔴Manchester United progressing with stadium plans
⚫️INEOS to make their mark with Carrington improvements this summer
🔴Training ground work 'will concentrate on enhancing the environment for players and staff to support high performance'
⚫️OT revamp would see 'world-class'…
- senior players have tried to speak with Eth about a change in set up and feel ingnored. Around Christmas he listened about training like McT alluded to in a post match interview.
- there is confusion about on pitch instructions such as when to press and the triggers.
This stage but still highly unlikely.
Names I know they’re looking at and working on (whether they progress or change is another matter)
-Branthwaite
- Neves
- thayls
-Silva
A lot of solid worth being done on youth recruitment.
@AcademyScoop
has been getting good info on it
@TenHagBall_
A lot of the people who go against ten hag on this come across as children who probably haven’t worked yet.
Manager must have complete authority over the players. He is in charge of them. End of.
-Main examples being him pushing for Onana, Antony and Amrabat.
-Ineos keen for this to change moving forward, with recruitment becoming in the whole a departmental decision rather than one or two having more or less the whole power.
-final thing here is, they don’t know
Nice performance this.
I remember when we signed him, the club felt they’d signed one of the biggest prospects in the world for his age.
Injuries have slowed progression, but he’s been with the first team all season and has done well. I hope he plays to the end of season now
This is the end. It has to be.
The manner of the last two games. It’s completely unacceptable.
Players need sold, staff need to go.
Nothing short of a disgrace.
- youth development, communication, attacking football and a clear ability for improving players.
To conclude things on a real positive
- the academy is flying. Huge potential at the club and strongest it’s been in years.
- we are about to begin a modern structure which
-even set pieces are concerning for the players, however there are enough senior players capable of sorting it on pitch, so they deserve a lot of blame for this too.
-overall, the players are in the main behind ten hag, but there are doubts creeping in and this isn’t good.
@OfficialVizeh
Two games into a new season.
If you guys don’t win your next game will you be having conversations about Kompany and if his style will keep you up? Of course not.
🎙 | Mike Verweij: "The information we have is that Graham Potter is not number one at Ajax. Ajax want Erik ten Hag and Alex Kroes also wants to wait for that. It is a kind of poker game - but Ten Hag is definitely the number one option." [via

- This summer we will see an emphasis on younger players with a few from the South American market targeted as well. It is felt that we have not taken enough risks, then ended up buying players for 10x the amount we previously could’ve got them.
-FFP. Feeling is we will be in a
- and by communication, it’s about his ability to clearly get his ideas across. This is pretty much the key think Brailsford looks for.
- ETH has been fantastic with the youth and works well with Fletcher.
- He fully understands he is under immense pressure right now.
Future plans:
- It is expected a new manager will be appointed and Berrada will lead this. City have been good and allowed him to work in a limited capacity, so I’ve no doubt these conversations have begun.
- Wilcox is all but done. Believe he has a handover to do.
I’d much prefer to spend £200m well than spend £400m badly.
United will spend big, we nearly always do. No need to stamp your feet if it doesn’t reach a certain figure.
There are rights, wrongs, opinions, beliefs, attitudes and what not.
This is right, it’s a fact, it’s a complete disgrace if MUFC spends less than 400m during the summer of 2024. There should be protests if we don’t.
I will back it up with facts the coming weeks.
- Wilcox will be leading recruitment this summer and I believe moving forward too. Ashworth will be the man overseeing everything, but he himself would admit there are others with a better eye for a player (Wilcox).
- there could be other appointments to the recruitment team.
6) manager must raise his hand to speak at all times
7) he must be referred to as the Sir Jim or “The Big Cheese” at all times.
One of these days Custis will nail a story.
People don’t realise, but Heaton is one of the biggest voices in the changing room. An excellent pro and mentor to younger keepers.
Forson- offering a deal helps with the compensation we receive.
Evans- few different things including taking over from Huddleston role on table
🚨🚨| OFFICIAL: Discussions remain open with Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton over potential new contracts while Omari Forson has formally been offered a new deal.
I know Portuguese press are unreliable- but as I’ve been saying for a long time. United will try to get a deal done. Whether it’s successful is another matter entirely.

Paid £350k a week and can’t stay in shape and has his professionalism called into question on more than one occasion.
Yet will fight back on social media rather than the pitch. Says it all for me.
- coming in, Ineos have always had a preference to have their own manager in the job, but they also wanted him to have what they believe is a fair chance to prove he could do that.
- he is well respected and liked by Brailsford, but he has doubts over his communication….
Strong position with the planned outs and the wage bill much improved.
- more youth players expecting promotions internally in the next 12-18 months.
- targets list are being drawn up by scouts, and I believe will be agreed by Wilcox and Berrada. Small chance Ashworth in by
🚨💰 NEW: Manchester United are aiming to recruit three key signings this summer. United have prioritised a centre back, a central midfielder and a forward to enhance the starting team, with any other additions dependent on outgoings.

It will take a bit of time, because I don’t want to have any personal opinion on it, whilst maintaining some anonymity for sources on topics.

- he is involved in planning pre season and some transfer discussions (more on this later), but this is standard for this time of year (see Rooney comments in LvG).
- he also knows he has interest in him from other clubs, and he has doubts about his future in the structure.
Staff:
- changes expected, Van der Gaag is expected to depart regardless of what happens with Eth and so is Benni McCarthy. Whilst popular- he is no saint and hasn’t conducted himself in the most professional ways at times this season (let’s leave it at that).
What style of play or profiles to try and recruit for Ten Hag (I’ll come onto this), so in the whole they’ve been suggesting players they deem in their opinion capable of playing for us.
Now moving onto Ten Hag and future plans:
Potter, RDZ, Amorim (scratch him now) and Alonso (not moving).
- the above are targets from Ineos specifically. Berrada and Wilcox will have ideas too so until I have something concrete on other targets , I won’t speculate for the sake of it.
- key requirements are as follows
